The Weekly Appts begin..

Today was my first exam from the doctor to see if anything is starting to happen. She told me that Braylea is definitely in the right position, I'm thinning out, but not dilated yet. She was pleased with everything though and told me that we could work together to get this baby out before Thanksgiving..yea! :)
We also went over to the hospital and got pre-registered. They even gave us a tour of the OB department. It is really nice and they were very informative.
Now we just play the waiting game..

Blabbing..

This weekend Bryson and I had our maternity pics taken. I'm really excited about them and can't wait to get the proofs back.
Took another trip to Joplin and spent too much at Babies R Us..that place is addictive! Bought Braylea a few more warm outfits and some other last minute items..I feel like I'm running out of time and keep thinking of things I need; my mind is definitely always going.
We have a doc appt Wednesday so I'm really anxious to find out if anything is happening because I've felt a lil different in the past week. I honestly can't believe that my due date is in 4 weeks from now..I have so many mixed emotions but I'm definitely excited, just scared of the fact that Bryson and I are actually going to be parents...will we know what to do?? plus so many more questions that I can't answer and won't until the time comes. There really is no way of being fully prepared and I hate that!

Attempting to be creative..

34 weeks 4 days..

Miss Braylea is definitely growing rapidly. She has also became very active in the past week. This has been the most fascinating time because she is taking up so much of my stomach that when she moves, you can actually watch my stomach roll and sometimes feel what part of her body is where. I was so excited when Bryson was able to watch her move. Before he had only felt her kick once or twice..she had been stubborn!
We are both just ready to meet her!!

Uncomfy!

Well, I think I spoke too highly on this pregnancy..it is going downhill from here I'm suspecting. I'm pretty sure that Braylea has dropped because of the following changes:
- I'm going to the bathroom every hour to hour and a half
- I'm feeling a lot of pressure
- I have lower back pain off and on
- Menstral cramps come and go that are real low
- Sleeping is a chore to get comfortable

On the upside of things..my swelling has gotten better and I'm not having any problems with my blood pressure. Next Wednesday we start going weekly and get to go over to the hospital to pre-register..that is just one step closer to Miss Braylea coming!

I'm thinking in the next two weeks, I need to get my bags packed. If there is anything special that someone can think of to remember to take, please let me know..I'm really not sure what to expect.

Baby girl's room..

Here's the first pic of the nursery. Aunt Lauren is dying to see it and since she won't come home until this lil girl is born, I thought I'd be nice and post this pic. The wall above the border and behind the crib is actually a real light blush pink, but the pic doesn't really make much justice of the color. It really turned out cute! I feel so much better because we now have all the necessities that are needed to have our baby come home. I think everything else should fall into place eventually. This week we should be getting her changing table/dresser from Bryson's gpa so that will be nice to be able to put everything in its place.

I had a crisis(I thought anyways) on Saturday. Bryson was working on his derby car getting ready for the derby that night, so he wasn't home and I was motivated to get some things done in the nursery. Well, I walk into the room and see hundreds of ants all over one wall. I definitely had a melt down..it is probably the cleanest room in the house and now their were ants everywhere! So, I called Bryson to let out frustration and then sprayed the room to kill them. Consequently, I took a nap instead of getting anything done because I was ticked! :)

I do feel like my swelling is getting better. I've been wearing my tennis shoes instead of flip flops and the weather hasn't been as warm, so I think those two factors have definitely helped out a lot...thank God!

32 wks 5 days

I forgot to take my bi-weekly belly pic but I got one tonight at 32 weeks and 5 days. Yes, I know, I'm very large! It is so tight that I can't imagine how it grows anymore..I know, it will find a way. I also found something a lil disturbing..stretch marks. They are just light pink on both of my sides. I guess they could be worse, but then again, I still have at the most 7 more weeks to stretch..scary!
The nursery is really beginning to look like one. It is completely painted and the border is hung. The crib and bedding is in place as well. I started to wash some of her clothes tonight...not real sure where they will go because I haven't given up the closet in her room yet..lol
I have noticed that the Braxton Hicks have gotten a lil more frequent now and a lil more stronger. It occurs the most when I'm sitting at my desk at work. I could be jinxing myself, but I really feel like this girl is going to come a little early. I don't know why I feel that way but as long as she isn't too early, I'm all for it! Just as long as I can get my temp at work trained before I turn it all over to her..

Baby Shower..Oct 4

This weekend was very exciting! My baby shower was this weekend and we got a lot of goodies for baby girl. She is taking after her mommy with lots of clothes! Bryson surprised me at the shower and sat with me while opening gifts..that made the shower. I want to thank Kari and Tricia for putting together a great shower for me...I couldn't ask for better friends/cousin! I definitely feel a lil more prepared for baby girl to come into this world.
Kari helped out a lot and went to Joplin Friday to pick up the crib.
Thanks to Kari and Tricia, we got her room completely painted so just the border needs to be hung. Saturday night Bryson put together her crib and today I washed her bedding set..it is starting to look like a nursery! So exciting..
I have several pictures but I need more time to get them posted. I will hopefully get up to date this week. I feel like I've been on the go for the past week, hopefully this week will be lil slower pace.
