We did it!
Miss Bray has prettys in her ears now! I don't regret it at all either. She is a trooper too..she cried probably the most the first ear because I think it was more a scare than the pain and she was almost a sleep at the time, but the second one she cried for just a few seconds and was fine from then on. She was smiling at me soon after..she forgave me quickly for hurting her. :) I wanted to get sterling silver with the diamonds but had to settle with the gold because the silver ones were too big for her little ears right now. I do have them for later on though! I'm so excited I went through with it!!
I couldn't get a great picture but here are some with different facial expressions..she was watching Deal or No Deal in most of them.

Something New
This weekend we noticed that Braylea is actually starting to know what she is hanging on to. She played on her mat for almost a whole hour and it was just so fascinating watching her. It was like we could actually see the wheels turning in her head. She thinks it is pretty neat that she can hit the things hanging down and they make noise..she just smiles and coos at them. Then she'll grab them and wave her arms around. So cute!

Doc Appt
Braylea got bad enough today that I felt like I needed her doctor to check her out. Her cough keeps getting worse and she can't breathe, but I could also feel her chest vibrating when she was breathing. That is the part that scared me.. So Doctor listened to her lungs and said so far they are clear(thank God). With hearing her cough and how she was breathing, she called it an upper respitory infection. She wasn't going to have her take antibotics at first but after hearing that Bryson was sick with the fever this weekend, she thought it probably was worth giving to her since that was in our home. I pray that is all we have to do. The odd thing is that she doesn't act that sick. She is sleeping more than normal when she can get comfortable enough to sleep but she is normally happy. When we got to the appt she was being weighed by the nurse and she was just smiling at her and then she did the same thing at the doctor when she was checking her out. It was so cute! Here is a pic of her playing with Mom waiting on the doctor.

Sick Day
We had our first sick day at home today. (Knock on wood) We haven't had to fight a fever like Bryson had, but she is coughing, sneezing, and snot draining all the time..I feel so bad for her. It is so hard for her to breathe without being propped up. I had her propped up on a pillow last night just so she could breathe a little better. I'm giving her Tylenol and Little Noses(Saline Drops). I'm hoping she will dry up soon. She has wanted me to hold her all day and just being whiny. She has had a few moments where she will give Mommy a good smile here and there but I know she does not feel good at all. This picture is the first time I was able to lay her down and have her fall asleep without me. I hope we are better tomorrow! Bryson went to work today. He still has a pretty good cold but the fever is gone, thank God.

First Cold
I was dreading the day Braylea got her first cold..and it is here. Dad has been sick all weekend with the bad cold and high fever. We tried to avoid the house as much as possible but don't know if we succeeded. I also took her for her first walk yesterday(she loved finally seeing the outdoors!) and don't know if the outside air got to her even though I had her pretty well covered. I guess you can't protect them from everything, so I can't seclude her just because I am afraid she will catch something. Right now she is just clogged up in the nose, not running yet and couching and sneezing just here and there. I pray that is all it does! I feel so bad when she tries to eat because she can't breathe very well from her nose..poor baby girl. She was all smiles this morning, so she doesn't feel bad. I hated leaving her to go to work even though she is in good hands.
We had a tough week last week trying to dodge the virus going around. Mallory, Braylea's cousin, was sick with the fever and cold most of last week so Braylea stayed home with Dad every morning and then my aunt came out in the afternoons which worked out but I'm glad she is healthy again and we can go back to our routine.

Opinion please!
I'm debating on getting Braylea's ears pierced. I keep going back and forth on it. I know now is better than when she is one or two years old. I almost did it Saturday at the mall in Joplin but they said she had to have her first round of shots and that we didn't have yet..buuuut we are in the clear now. So..any pros or cons??
Doc visit
We had our 2 month checkup yesterday and everything looked great! She weighed in at 12lbs 24in long...definitely growing like a weed! The shots went better than I expected. I'm not going to lie..I did tear up when my baby was screaming..I felt so helpless. She only cried for a few minutes and then fell asleep right away in her carrier. Just thankful Dad was there to hold down her legs! So far (knock on wood) she has been happy with no side effects from them.
