Mom's Weekend

This weekend Bryson went down to his grandparents' cabin at the lake to go fishing all weekend, so Bray and I get some bonding time together.
Tuesday..believe it or not..Kari AND Kamden got to come home. He's only 3 weeks old weighing 4lbs 6oz..he is doing amazingly well! We have been spending time spoiling him. All Braylea wants to do is grab his feet..ha
This picture shows how little he really is..it is crazy!

So sweet!

We went down to Katy Days this afternoon..Braylea loves the outdoors!

We ran into Braylea's cousin, Kannon. They played for awhile under the tent. Kannon is two months older than Braylea.

We have been having so much fun..I know when Wednesday rolls around..I'm NOT going to want to go back to work!!

She played hard and now time for a nap.
Enough sun for the day..heading home.

New Stuff

It seemed like for awhile nothing new was happening with Braylea, then all of a sudden every second seems like she is trying or doing something new. I hate leaving her even more now because of this reason..I don't want to miss a single thing! Here are a few pictures of her new experiences:
She started this week finally rolling over from her stomach and her back now..it won't be long and she should be crawling..she wants to go go go all the time. I might get a workout once this happens! She doesn't enjoy being on her stomach much though, she would much rather be standing up..might just go straight to walking...or running! :)

I gave her a Mum-Mum this week to nibble on..she thought she was pretty cool! She knew what to do instantly..she actually bit the thing right off..cracked me up.

We put her in a high chair at Pizzos the other day as well..she was waiting on the food after getting strapped in!

Braylea has always liked a lot of attention and would hate if I walked out of the room. Recently she been very content playing in her pack and play with her toys and stuffed animals. I think being able to sit up on her own has really helped out a bunch. She feels a lot more independent.
Yes..always something has to be in that mouth..normally the hands..especially when getting sleepy.

The baby food situation kinda went downhill for us. She was eating rice cereal in the morning and sweet potatoes at night for about a week. I may have jumped the gun too much but I added apple sauce a few times this week to her rice cereal. I noticed that her stool was getting a bit harder, but knew that was going to be normal since she was eating food now. It kept getting worse until she started crying as she was straining to get it out. I felt SO bad for her! I called the doctor and they said to give her apple juice diluted with water and make sure she isn't eating applesauce..did not know that! I learned quickly what the BRAT diet was..guess I should have looked into that before starting on foods..So, today I backed off on everything pretty much. Last night I didn't give her any food, I just nursed her more often and today she has only had a little bit of rice cereal, plain. She doesn't like the apple juice very well. She looked at me like 'this isn't milk, Mom!' but eventually she drinks a little here and there. I hope this gets better! We have our 6 MONTH check up(can't believe it) on Tuesday..hopefully I will learn more there.

Catch up pics..

These are pics from Mother's Day/Aunt Lauren's bday.

This picture cracked me up when I reviewed the pictures from the day..she has cleavage! Ha!

Happy bday Aunt Lauren! Starting Monday Lauren is going to watch Braylea for the summer..gonna be super spoiled!

This is my Mother's ring from Bry and Bray! I love it!
Last night after waking up from a lil nap..unlike her mom, she is usually pretty happy when she wakes up.

Real food!

A little over a week ago, I set up Braylea's chair..she loves it and knows that once she gets strapped in that it is food time!

Last night I gave her some sweet potatoes for the first time. She seemed to really like it, but once she was done, she wanted out! Did not like the fact that I wanted to get a picture, so this is what I got..

Mother's Day

Well, I've been hoping my internet would start working again, but since the storm on Friday, it won't turn on! I have several pictures to post..
So, I'll fill in the weekend and add the pictures when I can since I'm posting this at work on my break.
I had a great first Mother's Day. Braylea and Bryson bought me a beautiful Mother's ring with Braylea's birthstone in it. I was very shocked..especially because Bryson isn't the best surpriser! He did awesome though and Braylea helped me open my gift (she loved the wrapping..can't wait for Christmas!) We spent the morning out at Bryson's parents and Aunt Lauren came to town for Mother's Day and her birthday as well. I rec'd flowers from her and a cute diaper bag from Lorie..I love having a new holiday to celebrate! Ha! Then, we spent the evening at my mom's house and my brother and cousin grilled steaks and pork chops for supper..it was great! My mom gave me a Mother's necklace that was very neat as well.
Thanks everyone for a great Mother's Day! The gifts were wonderful but just having my baby girl is the best gift God could have given me.

Milestone

Miss Braylea is growing up..she is sitting up on her own. You still have to watch her real close because she likes to rear back real fast...maybe her hair will finally grow in the back now if she isn't on it all the time! :)

Welcome Kamden!

Friday was a big day. We headed up in the morning to Wichita to be able to be there for the birth of Kamden Alan Good. Kari was suppose to be induced this Thursday the 7th, but after a day of unexpected bleeding, they took Kamden earlier than intended. He was breeched, so she had to go through a c-section which she and Kamden did great! He was 3lbs 11oz, 16in long. He was breathing on his own at first but that evening they put oxygen on him to mainly remind him to breathe. He did come down with Jaundice but its pretty common for preemies. Kari is released from the hospital and is staying at the Ronald McDonald house. We all can't wait for them to come home!

Right before they wheeled her back to deliver..her belly isn't anywhere close to how LARGE I was! :)

Roy, Kari, and her parents..

Gotta throw a few pics of Miss B..she didn't know what to think when all she saw was pink!
She is a big girl now..she is the big cousin now!

All girl..sunglasses and a cell phone..she is covered!
This was taken about 2 hours after his birth..so sweet, but so little!
These pictures do not justify at all how little he really is..I thought Braylea was tiny at first at 7lbs 5oz..no comparison.
