Road Trip

Last weekend we loaded up and went to visit my cousins in Marion.  It was probably the longest trip so far that Braylea has taken.  It it about 2 1/2 hours from home.  She did great.  We left right after I picked her up from daycare, so she was worn out from the day and slept most of the way.  The rest she watched her sing-a-long movie(which, by the way, is a life-saver!).
We had a great visit.  I wasn't sure how she would do away from her comfort zone at home, but as long as I was in sight, she was great.  She was definitely a show off!  They have three different flights of stairs in their home, so that was a challenge because, of course, that's ALL she wanted to do was go up and down, up and down.  She's so onry!  Let's just say it wasn't the most relaxing visit because I was constantly running after her. lol  It was all worth it though because I had missed my family!

She became buds with Mikey..but who doesn't?!

They only live an hour away from Wichita and that's where Bryson was working that weekend, so we loaded up Saturday evening and had dinner with him.  It was so nice to break up the weekend and be able to see him for a few hours.

Valentine's Day

Yes, Valentine's Day was a week ago already, but I'm finally getting time to sit and post.

I couldn't wait until Braylea started school and made neat crafts for keepsakes. Well, I got an awesome surprise when I picked Braylea up from daycare.  The picture doesn't do much justice..it is so neat!  I've never done an impression of her hand print yet and always wanted to, but I guess I got what I wanted without the work.  They also made heart-shaped cakes and cookies.  It is so amazing that she gets to experience such a great environment while I'm working and to meet possibly long-term friendships.

Daddy Day

Our daycare provider went on vacation so Thursday daddy kept Bray since he was off and preparing to go on the road the next day.
Braylea decided to help Daddy pack so she tried on his hat to make sure it was warm enough for him.
When I got home from work, I think she was stir crazy and ready to get out of the house..she found a jacket in her closet and brought it to me.  She then proceeded to go the the door and bang on it while saying.."bye bye?"  I felt bad to burst her bubble and tell her no!
Why is this not going on???  Can I get some help?

Who Needs Toys??

Boxes and laundry baskets would keep Braylea busy for days.  When I do laundry, she thinks that she needs to do some.  If I'm in the laundry room, it is normally a given that Braylea will be dragging in her laundry basket of dirty clothes into the room and she will take each piece of clothing out..one by one..Trying to fold clothes around her is almost impossible because she thinks that all clothes belong on the floor, then she wants to put them back in the basket just to do it all over again.  She is definitely something else..

Maybe I'll try to play with my toys WITH the basket on my head..fail!

Alright..it is toy time.

Amazement

I never knew how surreal it was to watch a baby develop.  Braylea is doing more and more and understanding more and more every day.  I can tell her to go get about any toy she has (and believe me, there are plenty) and she knows which one I'm talking about.  She LOVES bananas, so she knows how to say 'nana' when she wants one and 'baba' when she wants a bottle. (Yes, haven't been able to break the bottle when she is tired and wants her milk)  We can ask her if she is ready to go 'night-night' and she will repeat it and grab her blankey and walk to her room.  She has also become the lil monkey.  She finds things to crawl up on to get to a higher destination.  We caught her just in time standing on our coffee table the other day..just a smiling like she was the coolest person alive. :)  She figured out how to stand on her princess chair to climb up on the table..no good!
Her favorite two things right now have to be books and music while dancing, of course!  She could walk around with my cell phone playing music all day if I let her!  She isn't too hard to please except when exhaustion hits her..then the attitude comes into play.  Yes, my princess does have an attitude and a big one at that!  It is pretty humorous at the time being..I know that won't last long though.
We are definitely enjoying every moment with her...
