Bring on the New Year!

I'm going to play catch up because our internet has been down for awhile..
New Years was pretty quiet this year.  We decided to lay low and have some family out.  Braylea was running wild showing off for everyone that she actually made it until 12:30 that night!!  I couldn't believe it.  Her 'normal' bedtime is between 8 and 8:30.

Now they are kissing cousins..hopefully it will last!  Kari and I are best friends now but I had a stage where there were no kisses..just biting!!  I know..I was mean.

Kamden turned 8 months old at midnight!  He is getting so big.  Hard to believe he was 3 months early..he is definitely catching up with Bray.  He started crawling this month..so cute!

Happy New Year!  Braylea was zoned out at this point.  Bedtime!

Merry Christmas!

Whew..we are all exhausted! 4 down and 1 more to go. Last night we had Bryson's parents' and today we had my mom's, my dad's, and Bryson's grandparents'. Tomorrow evening we have Bryson's other grandparents' and we will be done with Braylea's second Christmas. I can't believe she has already been around for two Christmases but this one was definitely much more entertaining. She had a lot of practice at her birthday party a month ago so she was a pro at opening gifts. She did have to get re-directed a few times because she wanted to play with everything she got right then and there. ha..
Santa did come and brought her a princess 4wheeler. She likes standing by it but once she got on it and it started moving she bailed and didn't want back on. Hopefully this summer when she can actually get some use out of it, she will be more interested!
Here's a few pics from Christmas Eve and Christmas day..

She wanted to dig in soooo bad but was waiting very patiently.

Her new princess coupe car..she was pretty pumped to get in after watching Dad assemble it for about an hour. He loved that job! ha!

Giving Gpa a kiss after receiving her kitchen.

Playing with Uncle J..big cheezer!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We are so blessed and thank everyone in our lives that are apart of it!
Happy Birthday Jesus! WE LOVE YOU!!

Another 'God is Good' story..

I feel like I have a good resource to this story but I want to state that I'm not 100% sure that it is fact..
I found out yesterday that the daycare that hit my 'worst nightmare' as a parent list, got shut down for good. They got her for 'keeping children in two different rooms that did not pass state inspection'.
The relief that hit me when I heard this was so surreal. It is good to know that the system does follow through and does care about children. I turned in a claim to the state October 5th and not sure if there was anymore complaints but whatever happened..I'm sooo glad. Even though I got my child out of there, I didn't want her neglecting anybody else's child.
I hate to hear that anybody loses their job but in this case..justice was served and she just down right deserved it.
Again..Praise God! Thank you for answering my prayers!

Change for the Good

Since Bryson and I ended highschool, he got hired on as a mechanic on 2nd shift. I moved to Pittsburg to go to school so I only could see him on the weekends anyways, so we didn't have much of an effect on his shift then. I moved back home after a year and we moved in together. Even though we lived together, we still only saw each other mainly on the weekends and for maybe 30 minutes a day on a lunch break. I hated it but then again, I had my time after work to get homework done or see friends. I was the first of my friends to get married, so I had single friends I could hang with at night if I didn't want to be alone. I finished school, we purchased our home, and I got pregnant all in about a 3 month span so I stayed busy fixing up the house. The nine months I was pregnant, I slept a lot and prepared for Braylea but started to really feel lonely at this point. In reality, we were married and lived in the same house, but we really were not living married life. Our only communication was through phone and it just didn't seem healthy to me. We honestly didn't 'know' each other anymore. I kept thinking that when I have my baby girl every night to spend my time with that all would be okay. Well, it depressed me even more. I feel like a single mom at night. Bryson is a great dad and I couldn't ask for better but he can't be there to help feed her, change her, bathe her, entertain her, and put her to bed every night. The routine just keeps going and going and I realized that change needs to happen or I was really going to go into some kind of depression. I honestly give props to single mothers because I couldn't imagine doing it full time. Don't get me wrong, Braylea is not a hard baby to please or to take care of but what I'm meaning is having that support system of another parent involved.
I have always prayed for Bryson to be able to go to first shift but the opportunities never came. Now, my prayers are being answered. Bryson is being offered a 'MMV' (Motor Maintenance Vehicle) position. It isn't the ideal 'first' shift job but it is traveling to terminals around the four states that do not have shops to work on the semis. The downfall is that they leave on Friday mornings and return Monday afternoons, then off until the next Friday. He will do this for 8 weeks, then have 4 weeks where he is home. The awesome part about that is he will be working day shift those weeks! Another positive note is he travels to good cities..Tulsa, Springfield, OKC, Wichita, Ark..so we could go visit him and have things to do.
I really feel positive about this change. We will actually be a 'semi' normal family. I can come home to him in the evenings, make supper with him here, and go to bed with him..the little things that you could take for granted. I've always had a strong jealousy for people who have that. People joke now that we might find out that we don't really like each other and can't handle living with each other..ha. The sad part is that there is partial truth to it. We don't live with each other full time in reality.
So..tonight I write this and sit back and think that it is 'hopefully' (don't want to jinx it) my last evening without my husband on a normal basis. Tomorrow he begins first shift to do some training before he begins his route.
God is good!

1 year pictures..

Our family/Braylea's first birthday pictures are online if anyone is interested. We were very pleased but didn't expect anything less from Kelli. There are several pictures out there because you never know when you are going to get a good picture from Miss Personality. When a camera comes out, she doesn't believe in smiling..she is too interested in everything else! Especially with this photo shoot, we were outside with gravel and rocks and water..what fun!

I hope you enjoy!

Gotta have firsts for everything..

Bryson and I planned a weekend to Kansas City with a group of friends. We went up Saturday and did some Christmas shopping and Sunday we tailgated and went to the Chiefs game. We had a really good time but we were definitely ready to get back to see our little girl. I went a whole year without leaving her over night but thought it was time to let it go and get away for a weekend. It was rough but I really had a good time with good friends.

Yes, gotta love the hat!

The whole gang!

Thanksgiving + weekend

I'm a little late posting about our Thanksgiving but it was great! We had Bryson's Schoenhofer side on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, my mom's then dad's on Thanksgiving day, then the Nutter side during the weekend. We had a great time seeing everyone and Braylea, of course, loved all the attention.
I really enjoy Thanksgiving because it is a time where family can get together and just enjoy each other and eat tons! Don't get me wrong..I love Christmas but there is too much of giving and receiving gifts then there is really stopping to think of why Christmas is really a holiday. So it was nice to just sit back and just be thankful for what I have.
It was crazy to think back a year ago to where we were at. I have to say I didn't enjoy it as much last year. I loved that I was a new mommy but I got home from the hospital the day before Thanksgiving and I just felt unorganized and just plain exhausted. I was trying to figure out the whole nursing aspect plus frustrated because I had no milk for her and she was cranky because she was starving..ahhh I don't wish to go back there! I love her age now and so much easier to take care of in my opinion!

Happy Thanksgiving! Gotta love those pretty blues!

Just hanging out in the dumpster truck getting wheeled around.

Being silly..

She can't do anything without that tongue.
